| Mara's early life is the "story of the refugee immigrant" ...sponsored to America, along with her Russian family ...as a little girl in 1955. With the blessings and gifts of this great country, she received undergraduate degrees in linguistics (Russian, Spanish, German), and International Relations, preparing her for Foreign Service work, and graduate degrees in Public Administration and Management. | |
| After more than 25 years of service in educational administration and public leadership, Mara returned to Oregon and her vacation home of many years in Bend. With a life long interest and investments in Real Estate, she began another career in real estate and development, initially as the Broker at Widgi Creek, and then establishing her own company--PAMIR PROPERTIES , INC. | |
| Mara has a passionate commitment to community involvement and helping others through strong ties to educational, business and political platforms. She has extensive experience in all aspects of professional, social, & community services – Bend-Lapine School Board, Sacramento Property Owners.Planning Commission, American Assoc. of University Women, Women's Coalition, Truman Club of Central Oregon , Boy Scouts of America, Assoc. of CA School Administrators, Education Association, National Board of Realtors, CO Board of Realtors, The International Real Estate Federation and Healthy Beginnings. | |
